Technic motor question

Okay, guys, I've got a question about the various Technic motors.

I just built a big Land Rover and I'm powering it with a motor I got from a
Znap set last year.  It's not very powerful... very slow, since the vehicle is
so heavy.  I also have the 8480 Space Shuttle with its two motors.
Would I be better off getting another motor like the one from the Space
Shuttle?  Which is most powerful?  And it seems to me it wouldn't matter if I
use the single 9V battery box or the 6xAA battery box to power it, is that
correct?  I think the only difference there is that the 6xAA would last longer.
Well, thanks for any help.  Later.

Seth.

(...) I strongly suspect the motor from the Space Shuttle will deliver more torque at a given RPM - unfortunately I have no proof of this, it is based only on experience. I really should do a rigorous test to find out one of these days. There is a (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic)
