I strongly suspect the motor from the Space Shuttle will deliver more torque at a
given RPM - unfortunately I have no proof of this, it is based only on experience.
I really should do a rigorous test to find out one of these days. There is a web
page with a comparison about these motors somewhere which claims the Znap motor is
more powerful but I have a hunch something is amiss.
You can try it for yourself; I think the znap motor goes around 300 rpm, the space
shuttle one about 3000 rpm. It should be easy enough to gear the latter down by
9:1 to get them roughly to the same rpm, and then see how each performs in your
vehicle.

That is correct, in fact if you use rechargables you may be better off with the
single 9V box as the 9V rechargable battery gives a higher voltage than 6 AA
rechargables in series. It may or may not be the case the the larger box can
provide a higher peak current, but unless you are running many motors from the
same supply this will not be an issue.

| Okay, guys, I've got a question about the various Technic motors. I just built a big Land Rover and I'm powering it with a motor I got from a Znap set last year. It's not very powerful... very slow, since the vehicle is so heavy. I also have the (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic)
