| | I'm stuck. Any ideas for adding resistance, longitudinally, along an axle that spins a worm gear? I tried a shock spring, but that's kinda mixed..... -jeff (24 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

| | | | (...) Hi i used a spring off the large lego pump incombination with a small gear. Worm gear on one side of the spring and the gear on the other end this method provides no extra friction (24 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

| | | | (...) Oops! I thought you wanted to prevent the worm gear from sliding completely. You know, since the length of the worm gear is slightly shorter than two studs, it will slide a little and you have to leave a gap between the two bushes to lock it (...)
