I am disappointed, specifically in the so called pneumatics parts pack (5218). This pack is nothing more than a boatload of Technics parts that you may or may not need sprinkled with one each of pneumatics parts that you actually want. You may need (...) (24 years ago, 9-Sep-00, to lugnet.technic)

(...) I disagree, John. This kit is great and fairly affordable. The only better source for pneu parts is the Tow Truck 8462. It's not widely available in the US (DYA has several for around US$70, but add $20 for shipping, and be prepared to wait a (...) (24 years ago, 9-Sep-00, to lugnet.technic)

Well, if you only need some of the parts, perhaps what you should do is sell or trade off the stuff you don't need, or find a buyer who will take the bits you don't want? If two or more people split up a few packs, then the cost should be reduced a (...) (24 years ago, 9-Sep-00, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Has anyone tried using the pumps as valves? IIRC, the first (red?) pneumatic valves only had the bottom pip for an air hose. If you remove the spring for the pump, might it work the same way? The pumps are kind of wide (and long) for (...) (24 years ago, 10-Sep-00, to lugnet.technic)
