Hello Nathan,

Is there a technical reason you use a chain link between the motor and the
differential grear? Would it be unsave to engage the gears directly in this
case?

The chain is not necessary. It was just a quick way of hooking the motor to the differential. There is sometimes a delay in the system because the pump is such a small load even when the valve is closed. One way around this is to give the output (...) (14 years ago, 11-Aug-10, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Hi Nathan, I really like your solution. I've seen a number of automated vales, but almost all had the drawback that they could generate considerable stall load on the motor. This solution appears to be much more efficient. Jetro (14 years ago, 11-Aug-10, to lugnet.technic)
