The more I think about the new linear actuator the more applications I think up
for it, but I was just wondering is it actually going to be significantly
cheaper to make than the pneumatic system?
I know you won't need a pump, valve block or pipes, but surely a pneumatic ram
was extremely simple with only one moving part? and you'll still need parts to
get the motion from the control knob to the actuator?

| (...) Obviously with *my* interests, I hope that the linear actuator is not the end of pneumatics. There are still a lot of ideas I've not had a chance to try, but more part type options are great! Kevin (www.kclague.net) (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.technic)
