I also thought about using specific Technic “swashplate”, but I concluded as you did : collective control could’nt be achieved because of friction. So keeping the large technic turntable was the best way... I must say I was convinced I first must have an helicopter built, because there were so many cars, trucks, and cranes everywhere in Lego MOCs ! Your concept was very original and I was really amazed to see it was possible to do so realistic control...

Well, next project will surely be an F1 car anyway, but I would be happy if I could manage (and find time) to edit a LDraw model of my helicopter with building instructions. Maybe someone would be interested in it...

I like how you control the swash plate (turntable) from below - the probably (...) (20 years ago, 2-Feb-05, to lugnet.technic, FTX)
