This partially balances the fact that this worm gear box is something more
space-wasting than other assemblies, as well as the 90°degrees (I really
don't know how to call it) gearbox that is supplied with this set.
In fact I still find more confortable working with a bunch of liftarms and
connectors, rather than incorporating those bulky assemblies in my MOC,
which I alwas try to keep as compact as possible - but maybe not so sturdy
;-)

| (...) When I first saw these new gearboxes, I wondered why they reinvented the wheel. You can accomplish the same thing with existing parts. Then it hit me; You can't pinch fingers in these gears. When gearing down with a worm/screw to 24 tooth (...) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-03, to lugnet.technic)

| I just got my 4094 Inventor set (i.e. the motorized string traversing monkey) and just wanted to make a quick observation that I don't think has been mentioned here before: The 24 tooth gear in the worm gear box has an over-torque relief mechanism (...)
