No, they're not. I have both sets! The 8466's tyres and wheel hubs are MUCH
bigger!
The rear wheel HUBS of 8455 are the same as from the 8475 RC race buggy and 4404
Land Busters, but the tyres are completely brand new.
I agree with the original poster, the tyres are definitely made of a different
material. Why Lego chose to do this, I don't know.
