     (...) I beleive so. The most important part of the stroke for highest pressure is most compressive part (making sure the pump compresses completely). I never liked my pumps 'hangin' out there'--I always put the other side on, whether I'm using the pulley wheels for the small pump, or the 40t gears for the big ones--having the pullys/gears on both sides of the pump handle makes it so much (...)
