After a long haul of what seemed like an interminable number of math and
computer science courses, I finally finished the Computer Science
program at my school this April (grad ceremonies are next Thursday, I
need to get a haircut).
I was talking with one of my professors last week and discovered that
one of the courses I had taken, specifically, a 2nd year digital
electronics course, has been augmented to include a robotics component,
which will involve the programming of a Handyboard-controlled robot made
out of Technic LEGO. For students that are able to complete the regular
assignments ahead of schedule, they will be having a robotics
competition, to see whose robot does the best (without falling apart) at
some yet-to-be-decided task (It could be maze navigation or maybe
something involve ping pong ball or pop can collecting; the professor
mentioned these as possibilities, but it hasn't been decided yet).
I feel like I graduated too soon.
