Thanks for the replies. (...) Actually I would use a transformer as well but I got my copy of the 8485 from Europe and the included 220V transformer is not compatible with the 110V outlets here in the US. The 8094 version does not contain a (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)

Gaurav, I also tend to use the transformer. I can tell you that the batteries offer less performance than using the transformer alone. It's surprising that they are that hard to remove. I'm not sure what's up with that. Eric (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)

I was trying to replace the batteries in a Control Center unit today after finding out that they were nearly drained. (I tried to power up several motors on a custom Technic model but saw that they just barely ran) I found it extremely hard to (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)
