(...) Agreed... Large pumps suck at being motorized. But has anyone ever tried mounting one to a piston-like assembly? Maybe something that pushes and pulls it much like a human hand would. (...) You have failed to point out that moving involves a lot of heavy lifting. This can be reduced significantly by placing heavy objects on air-cushioned platforms.
