(...) Why not just have toothed holes on all gears? Using a toothed half bushing, it's easy enough to convert a gear with toothed hole to a axle hole gear...It might be cool to inset the hole so that the hole would be as wide as a half beam, thus (...) Hello, I have built both LSD and manual locking diff. Both were simple AND worked very well, BUT they are not realistic; I mean that they do not work the way the real LSD and locking diff. work. I'm still working on that... One of my creations is a (...) (25 years ago, 16-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

(...) It's a good point and a good idea, but even if I did buy a gear especially I still wouldn't want to modify it. I'd sooner find a way to work round the problem. That sounds familiar. When I think up a new model, I invariably have that one critical piece that requires modification. Without the piece, the model just wouldn't work. I wouldn't dare touch my 40t gears either. It would be different if I had 100 (...) (25 years ago, 16-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)
