(...) I don't usually swap colors, but I did do the silver 8448 thing, when I got a copy of that silver technic accessory kit. The real killer was getting rid of the light gray pieces, they didn't mesh well with the silver. Steve (24 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

swap out the key color pieces on your technic models? for instance, I just swapped out all the red on my 8448 with silver and black pieces, replacing those ghastly white chairs with some cool black leather ones...I used silver plate pieces for the (...) (24 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

While the digits are base-6-ish they are used as base 10. i.e. "10", made up of a "1" and a "0", comes after "9". It would be kind of cool if it really were base 6, but no doubt Lego doesn't want to confuse the non-math inclined people out there. (...) (24 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)
