 | | Solar-Powered Hexapod Walker
|
|
I built a simple solar-powered hexapod last weekend with some new parts I ordered from Pitsco. The walker is quite slow, using the LEGO solar cell to power a 5225 9V motor, which drives a worm gear coupled directly to a 24T gear. I've found the LEGO (...) The big 4X4...there's that big one (8466 methinks), and a $39 smaller one (8465 iirc)...do they come out at roughly the same time? or does one come out before the other one? Anyone heard a date for release? Beuller? Beuller? (24 years ago, 20-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Thx, Marco. I'm investigating! btw, Do you mean that they communicate through a standard lead attached to sensor inputs, say, or some other electrical connection? Interesting that the CM can't communicate at speed, but the MS & CP will. I'd (...) (24 years ago, 20-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

(...) The Cybermaster is a pretty big unit. It's turquoise, and the same width & depth as an RCX, but about 2/3 longer. I only just bought the Cybermaster (£50 at amazon.co.uk - bargain!), and I didn't really know what to expect - Fyi, the (...) (24 years ago, 20-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

First, this really belongs in lugnet.technic and lugnet.build - I think maybe people who have built controls for pneumatics might be interested as well. FUT to the two aforementioned groups added - I have left the lugnet.general newsgroup in order (...) (24 years ago, 20-Mar-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.technic)

Hi Simon, In the first instance, call LEGO Consumer Services on 08457 080070. If you explain the problem, they will almost certainly send you a replacement. The micromotors seem to have a habit of jamming: I've destroyed one myself, trying to find (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

Contact Lego, they are very good about replacing damaged parts. I buy alot of Lego and have only had problems with sets a few times, but lego has always been very good about replacing the bad parts. Derek (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

 | | Non functioning Micromotor.
|

Hi I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question but... I just picked up a 6979 in The Entertainer for £20 because it has a few useful bits and one of these is a micromotor... but... it doesn't work. The battery box and the cables are (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)
