  Re: New part: 120° tri-axle

(...) Did you not mean "definately triangularly in the quite useful category" Steve (17 years ago, 1-Jun-07, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: New part: 120° tri-axle

(...) Considering how the element isn't even used to any "high" potential (it holds on the legs of a destroyer droid), it seems likely that this fairly-obviously-TECHNIC element would be used for Grander Plans eventually, and one-would-hope, soon.   Re: New part: 120° tri-axle

(...) Brian, I suppose it's not in lugnet/LDraw/peeron yet simply because it's probably a new part, just reaching the stores now. If you look at the (URL) for set 7662> (book 2/2, 4515435, page 54), you can also see that part, along with its item (...) (17 years ago, 29-May-07, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  New part: 120° tri-axle

Curious. I've not seen this referenced here on LUGNET, in fact can find only one picture of it on BrickLink with a note that the inventory for the set in question (7662-1, Trade Federation MTT) is "pending". but it certainly looks interesting: (...) (17 years ago, 29-May-07, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Large Scale Lego Tank RC

(...) Nifty. Have you thought about using the newer bigger tread links, from the Snowmobile (and later this year from the Power Functions Bulldozer)? They are much less likely to break apart in my experience, and are closer in look at that scale as (...) (17 years ago, 29-May-07, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Large Scale Lego Tank RC

(...) Yes Yellow is great.. I will try and swap out what I can for Black parts. right now only have planned for two geared down buggy motors to move this beast. But I will see how it goes when its built.. I have no doubt it will be expensive. but (...) (17 years ago, 28-May-07, to lugnet.technic)

  Large Scale Lego Tank RC

I am slowly in the progress of making a large scale RC lego tank. each track will be 3 Treads wide with each look of about 200 links here are some early photos (URL) loop (URL) Track drivetrain (URL) dolly. (URL) need to buy alot of parts. (...) (17 years ago, 27-May-07, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Lego Servo's

(...) Just an FYI I connected a Lego Buggy Motor to my Tamiya Electronic Speed control with reverse. and it works like a charm.. full proportional forward and back control. while connected to a regular RC 7.2v 3600mah Nimh Battery back. now I just (...)   Re: Robo Quad - Stage Seven

(...) Thank you! I just finished adding the pilot to the cockpit. (...) LMAO, no comment other than the line I wrote above. (LOL) (...) Stage 9 coming soon. Completion projected at Stage 10.   Re: Lego Servo's

(...) I am not very sure how this works.. do you have to have power from the battery pack on all the time then the servo just switches from full forward to none then to full reverse? if this is the case. then it would be pretty jerky.. i am hoping (...)   Re: Lego Servo's

(...) It wouldn't cause any problem. I use 6 AA NiMH batteries to power 9V Lego motors all the time without any ill effects. This includes the NXT motors, the RC Buggy motor, and the RC Trains motor. Both through the NXT brick and using a normal (...) (17 years ago, 24-May-07, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Lego Servo's

(...) Yes. That's what I'm suggesting. I doubt it would cause any problem to power the 9v motors with 7.2v batteries. (but I could be wrong) Steve (17 years ago, 24-May-07, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Lego Servo's

(...) You mean take a regular Electronic Speed control thats usually powered by a 7.2 Nimh Pack and wire it into the standard Lego Motor? I wonder if it would work or burn out the motor. those batteries have alot of juice Adam (17 years ago, 24-May-07, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Lego Servo's

(...) About the only thing I could suggest is buying regular speed controllers. You should be able to get some electronic ones that can plug right into the receiver. Steve (17 years ago, 23-May-07, to lugnet.technic)
