Re: More Power Function MOC pics

In lugnet.technic, Mark Bellis wrote: snip (...) Wow mark, thank you for the info on this really cool controller and all of the pictures we would otherwise not see. I personally can't wait to get my hands on 3-4 sets but until then I’ll have to keep (...) (18 years ago, 1-Mar-07, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: Power Functions Element Pics (inc Plugs)

(...) Man, I'm excited. A few design flaws I can't understand though: Why the cable nub coming out of the cable's brick? There has to have been a way to avoid that. On the large motor, why all that wasted space on the drkGry part that could have pin (...) (18 years ago, 28-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

World domination - with small technic

Who am I? Nobody, but I've got big ideas. For Lego to do. :-) I think Technic has a great untapped potential. There are many parts, gears, tools and techniques! Yay! But the sets are not up to scratch. They are good, realistic models, but are only (...) (18 years ago, 28-Feb-07, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: Power Functions Element Pics (inc Plugs)

(...) Thank you! I like the small(er) size of the motors; do the large motors also have a stud recesses down one side? It actually looks in both bases as if the pin connections are fairly well placed. I'm not overjoyed with the "hard-wired" nature (...) (18 years ago, 28-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

Re: Interesting technic piece, possible town use

(...) Ah, thanks! Available in black too. I can work with that. Thanks again, Tim, Big Daddy and Steve. Best, Jonathan (18 years ago, 28-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic)

(...) That's a ZNAP part. It is LEGO. (URL) (18 years ago, 28-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.inv, lugnet.town)

Re: Interesting technic piece, possible town use

(...) It is. (URL) Technic pins would work, but those Znap connectors... zeesh! "Big Daddy" Nelson (18 years ago, 28-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Interesting technic piece, possible town use

(...) Ah, I just read the text to the auction. Could very well be ZNAP. Drat. From what I see there, I really think I could make it work. Jonathan (18 years ago, 28-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Interesting technic piece, possible town use

(...) Looks like ZNAP to me. Not sure how easy it is to integrate with proper lego/technic though. Tim (18 years ago, 28-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic)

Interesting technic piece, possible town use

While wandering around Bricklink, I found this auction. (URL) Does anyone recognize the curved part in the lower left of the 3rd photo down? I am not nearly up to speed on technic parts as I should be. The curve appears to be made around a 3 stud (...) (18 years ago, 28-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.inv, lugnet.town)

  Re: area51andahalf

(...) Looks like an interesting way to control the pivoting motion of a jointed vehicle! Now why is that person's entire folder of lego pics under the keyword 'Avatar'?: (URL) Shouldn't it be under MOC or some other more accurate term? (18 years ago, 28-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: Novel multiplexer: 12 outputs with potentially one motor

I like stuff like that! 'Macro Mechanisms'. Remember when there was discussion and about a MOC made that replicated a device called the 'Geneva Wheel' was it? (18 years ago, 28-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Power Functions Element Pics (inc Plugs)

(...) Hmm, I will add my voice in saying thanks for the pics. Definitely interesting. I agree that I would prefer to have connector terminals on active bricks, and not permanently attached cables. What also I find awkward is that we now have (...) (18 years ago, 28-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

Re: Power Functions Element Pics (inc Plugs)

(...) I can't say that I am a fan of the "permanent wires" or the connector end itself, but perhaps I just don't like change. I wonder if there will be extension cables for sale? Actually the more I think about it, the more I forsee the attached (...) (18 years ago, 28-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

Novel multiplexer: 12 outputs with potentially one motor

This showed up over on the NXTasy forums, and I thought it might be appreciated here as well. He used a motor to drive the power shaft through the center of a Technic turntable, and a second motor to turn the turntable to engage different sets of (...) (18 years ago, 27-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Motorized bulldozer complete

Thanks Eric and Doug! The shock is to hold the track taught at just the right perimeter. It also allows the track to turn smoothly. The dozer can twist in place (one track in reverse-one forward) on smooth surfaces, but can't do so on carpet since (...) (18 years ago, 27-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: Motorized bulldozer complete

(...) I rarely post anything on Lugnet, but felt I had to this time. I love this model. I like that all the controls are inside the cabin, the hoses are neatly managed, and pneumatics are used for all aspects of maneuvering the shovel. Excellent (...) (18 years ago, 27-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Motorized bulldozer complete

Good construction, solid looking model. Cool light stalk over the front end plow. I like that shock dampend rear cog. What's that work like? ...and this is a nice pic too! Shows some interesting aspects to your bulldozer: (URL) (18 years ago, 26-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic, FTX)
