This showed up over on the NXTasy forums, and I thought it might be appreciated
here as well. He used a motor to drive the power shaft through the center of a
Technic turntable, and a second motor to turn the turntable to engage different
sets of gears, but he also points out that by using the sliding worm gear trick
you could potentially power this with a single NXT motor (or RIS motor +
rotation sensor), and by expanding the ring you could actually get more outputs
as well.

I like stuff like that! 'Macro Mechanisms'. Remember when there was discussion and about a MOC made that replicated a device called the 'Geneva Wheel' was it? (18 years ago, 28-Feb-07, to lugnet.technic)
