| (...) I have had six 71427 motors replaced, out of about 20. If you really want to open them, use a small flat-blade screwdriver to lever out the backplate at the bottom. It will be obvious that you've done this though, so it may invalidate the (...) (20 years ago, 24-Apr-04, to lugnet.technic)

| (...) I've tried. a) it's hard to disassemble - you'll ruin it. You have to use drill just to take the motor out. You must carefully open it. b) in my case the permanent magnets inside turned to magnetic dust - there was nothing to clean/repair, it (...) (20 years ago, 23-Apr-04, to lugnet.technic)
