I need help in designing a motor-driven hammer for my RCX Tank Base Two. The hammer should be forced down to create a greater impact than that as if it were simply dropped. (...) Notoriously difficult (...) I'd rather use a hacksaw on a technic angle or axle connector. (...) Probably not so easily. (...) I'd rather propose the following operation (totally theoretic, use at your own risk): Saw of the protruding axle and (...) (22 years ago, 12-Dec-02, to lugnet.technic)

(...) I think it should have been possible there as well (I have a disassembled 71427 that was broken). As for compatibility, if you put an axle 2 into the hole it should be pretty much equivalent, maybe not as strong mechanically. Another question (...) (22 years ago, 12-Dec-02, to lugnet.technic)

(...) It should be fairly easy to saw off the axle and glue a bush to the shortened axle, thus getting an axlehole instead of the protruding pin. The mainproblems would be to - Get the bound strong - Get the bush centered on the axle Perhpas some (...) (22 years ago, 12-Dec-02, to lugnet.technic)
