  Should I Save the Boxes?

Greetings! I have saved most of the boxes from sets I have purchased new, but now I am running out of room. I'm not exactly sure why I saved them in the first place. I don't want to get rid of them if there is a logical reason to save them. What do (...) (22 years ago, 16-Mar-03, to lugnet.storage)

Re: Iris carts on sale at Target this week

If you have standardized on the "Costco size" Iris carts, don't buy the ones on sale at Target this week - they are slightly smaller. If you have standardized on the slightly smaller ones carried at Staples/OfficeMax/OfficeDepot, these MAY match, (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jan-03, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: the not-so-incredible BOX-4-BLOX™

(...) I think the point is that once you have finished playing you stick all your lego in and then sort it. You then leave it in the boxes for next time, thus needing a lid Tim (22 years ago, 29-Jan-03, to lugnet.storage)

Iris carts on sale at Target this week

Target has the clear drawer, black or white frame doublewides for $16, single wides for $9.99. More interesting is that they have the blue frame, red/yellow/green drawer doublewides for $16.99, single wides for $9.99. These make GREAT Lego storage, (...) In lugnet.general, Matthew Gerber writes: ... (...) ... (...) ... Sometimes I buy time-savers that are so clever that I cannot dream of a way to improve on them. While Box-4-Blox is useful, and I use mine every time I part something out, it's far (...) (22 years ago, 21-Jan-03, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Brick Sorting

(...) Those containers are very similar to the ice cream containers that I use for my brick storage. I can't remember the name of the brand off the top of my head, but the ice cream comes in these square containers that stack very nicely together, (...) (22 years ago, 16-Jan-03, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Brick Sorting

(...) The boxes work out great! I served no wine, but if that had helped the crowd comming I certainly would have :) It was hosted at my office and we took what we could find, so despite the type of glass used it's Cola... But if you ever show up (...) (22 years ago, 16-Jan-03, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Brick Sorting

(...) Tobbe, that system looks great. Lucky for you that the stores there still use plastic as oppose to the wax covered cardboard that is used here in the states :-( On a side note, is that wine you served at that Lego gathering? Because if it is, (...) (22 years ago, 16-Jan-03, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Pile Proponents

(...) There is some wisdom to this. I can see it. I too used to derive quite a bit of inspiration from "random finds" while sifting through piles of pieces in search of something else. I find though, that larger projects, and particularly robots, (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.storage)

  Pile Proponents

I've noticed both storage and sorting are popular here—and with some collections upwards 100k, I can understand. Sorting seems almost a sub-hobby of a hobby. But I have to ask, is there anyone who does not sort? Even a larger collection? I have a (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.storage)
