I like your work Brad. Actually the base table (as pictured at your
first link, above) is almost identical to those my father and I built when I
was a kid and using my parent's basement as a LSF (Lego Storage Facility, for
those who missed it). ...Actually, as the story goes, I 'duped' my father into
showing me how to build such a table with the assumption that it would be used
for model trains, but the Lego hobby quickly dominated. By the time I was in
high school, I had built two more, for a total of three -one for Castle, two
for Town. When I moved out of the house, the parents said they were sad to see
me go, but they sure were happy to get their basement back!
Unfortunately, I had to leave the lumber behind and got stuck without an LSF
for several years. Not until I moved into my current apartment (about 18
months ago) did I have space to invest in several folding conference tables.
BTW, Brad, I especially liked the lip you built around the edge of your table
in the modified setup. It looks like it would nicely keep Lego elements from
falling off the table when dumping a box of spare pieces out for sorting.

| The following work table was my Sundays project. For starters I use to build on a 3/8 inch 4x8 board layed across a printer stand and a old desk. To say the least it was very flimsy.
