I purchased this set a few months ago, but did it in a different way. I
found 2 of the 3 internal boxes just sitting on the shelf - no price or UPC
on them. I took it to the toy manager and said "how much?" Not being able
to figure out that these boxes were part of a larger set, she quoted $5 for
one and $10 for the other. About a week after that I found the third box on
the shelf. This person realized that the box was from a larger set but I
was able to pick that box up for $10 because they could not find the other
2.
No, I did not open the larger box myself so that I could cheat the retailer
out of money. I'm not even a Star Wars fan. I picked them up because I
figured I could get the pieces for cheap if the retailer couldn't figure out
the boxes were from a larger set.
I have not opened any of the boxes yet. I assumed that the instructions,
people, and some other pieces were packaged separate from the internal boxes
for the 3 ships. Is that true? Do I have the complete set just buy
purchasing the 3 internal boxes separately? Or am I missing some pieces (or
instructions) that were just thrown in the main box?
Thanks,
Ryan
