Naw... I think IG-88 would look something more like

or something like that... I am not a master at ASCII art.
I suggest we give bonus point to the person that figures out how many 2x4
bricks, laid, end to end, it would take to stretch 5 miles.
Maybe TLC will come out with a nanofig sized UCS death star... that should
only be about 50 feet in diameter. Much easier to get the bricks for
something that scale... :)

Well, let's see... that'd be about 491,490 studs, which is about 122,873 2x4 bricks laid end to end (+/- a few, cuz at that level, even lego's tolerances will be off by a bit) But by my calculations, a minifig scale death star would only be a (...) | (...) Just to give you an order of size and brick required. I did some calculation to build Khafre's pyramid. At minifig scale it would take 240,000 2x4 bricks; at technicfig scale you would need 1,080,000 2x6 bricks. And your pyramid would be (...) (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)
