  Lego Death Star

Hi All, Has anyone ever built and/or photographed a minifig scale DeathStar. Thanks in Advance. Mike McLeod Terrigal, NSW Australia (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Lego Death Star

(...) I've built a Death Star before, but it's no where NEAR minifig scale size. If you think about it for a second, the Death Star was the size of a small moon. Now, if you scaled that down to minifig scale, the Death Star, to be accurate, would be (...) (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Lego Death Star

(...) And even if you got all the bricks... where would you put it?!?! <grin> -Shiri (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Wherever it rolls. -LFB (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Lego Death Star

(...) If (...) accurate, (...) Just put in orbit... but don't let it fall down... it'll kill all human life on earth. That'd be bad. Alan (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

snip. Arrrgggghhh...hhh!!!! I've created a monster ___ / \ / O \ |=======| \ / \___/ :-) (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Lego Death Star

(...) The interesting thing is, that ASCII rendition of the Death Star(s) is actually more suggestive of the following: A) The head of IG-88 B) The head of Nomad (from the ST:TOS episode)--or was it some other robot I'm thinking of...? Anyways, a (...) (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Lego Death Star

Naw... I think IG-88 would look something more like __ | | |::| | p| | | __ or something like that... I am not a master at ASCII art. I suggest we give bonus point to the person that figures out how many 2x4 bricks, laid, end to end, it would take (...) (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Lego Death Star

Just to combine two similar elements, has anyone ever built a mini/micro/nano scale super star destroyer. I saw the Japanese Lego show star destroyer, but I haven't seen anyone go after the super star destroyer yet. Anyone seen one? Matt (...) (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Lego Death Star

(...) Well, let's see... that'd be about 491,490 studs, which is about 122,873 2x4 bricks laid end to end (+/- a few, cuz at that level, even lego's tolerances will be off by a bit) But by my calculations, a minifig scale death star would only be a (...)   Re: Lego Death Star

(...) Just to give you an order of size and brick required. I did some calculation to build Khafre's pyramid. At minifig scale it would take 240,000 2x4 bricks; at technicfig scale you would need 1,080,000 2x6 bricks. And your pyramid would be (...) (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Lego Death Star

(...) Well first, Which Death Star? The first which is 160km in diameter or the second which is roughly 500km in diameter. (I know half of the 'offical' sources state the 1st as being 120km and the second as 160km but those were arbitrary numbers (...) (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Lego Death Star

(...) Yes I made one. It was made for the benifit of the newsgroup alt.startrek.vs.starwars Now keep in mind it is really just a skeletal form to show scale but there are several other Star Wars and Star Trek ship their done to scale including a (...) (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Lego Death Star

(...) <sound of rolling> <CRASH> Ouch. I don't like this suggestion - it rolled on me. -Shiri (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Lego Death Star

(...) borg (...) disassemble them? I'd be interested to see something like a conventional aircraft carrier or sub done to scale with them. Dave! (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Lego Death Star

(...) are (...) well they won't be together much longer. :-) (...) Actually most of the Star Trek ships are about the same size as modern day navel warships. -Lord Insanity (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)
