I am about 30% done putting this together. While I really like it, I thought it would be a bigger sized model. I have completed the pod portion of the Tie, and I am now working on the wings. (...) opening plastic (...) some (...) they (...) I noticed the shovels on the wings when I saw the preview pics. I suppose I thought it was kind of neat that they were using them in a non-shovel kind of way. I like using parts in unusual ways. (...) (25 years ago, 19-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) I fully agree, Mark. When I saw thos pics, I thought, "That is so cool! I never would've used it this way!" I am very happy that Lego decided to use current pieces rather than molding a new one just for that use. I feel the same way about the (...) (25 years ago, 19-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Is the piece for the back of the pod the big-dome base part? The one used in Neptune's Discovery Lab (and others)? Looking at (URL), the two dome-parts are used in the tower on the right-hand side of the picture. That's not the most exciting (...) (25 years ago, 19-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

I guess I am just too stuck on the Star Wars Vehicles looking as close to real as possible. And when I see those shovels there, all I can see is "SHOVELS"... and it just ruins the effect for me. Chris (...) (25 years ago, 19-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)
