I think I can fairly definitively claim that these are not from a Kenner action
figure.  The proportions just aren't right.  The tops of the heads are too
broad.

On the other hand, I do remember there being a flap made about someone's custom
Stormtrooper minifig, and he *did* use the Kenner helmet.  So you aren't
completely inventing the memory.

To all of you who have questions, these are in fact, 100% confirmed kenner stormtrooper helmets. they are the rare kind from the luke skywalker in stormtrooper disguise. the helmet was removable, and was placed on a minifig head. i tried it myself (...) (25 years ago, 26-Apr-00, to lugnet.starwars)
