Re: Link to Sandcrawler pic? —Kevin Knoot
(...) Here it is: (URL) the third pic down. It's on the right side, by the proto UCS X-Wing. (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Link to Sandcrawler pic? —Kevin Loch
That thing is awesome! Are those classic tank tread links? KL (...) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Link to Sandcrawler pic? —Travis Yanke
(...) Yes I believe they are. Seeing that pic awhile back gave me the itch to pull apart one of my own creations for the treads and give building a Sandcrawler a try. But I did notice in ANH last week that the treads were "double deep" for each set. (...) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Link to Sandcrawler pic? —Kevin Knoot
(...) As a matter of fact, I had, and I hope TLC does too before they release this beauty! Hopefully with a score of Jawas and assorted "droid parts!" Kevin (...) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Link to Sandcrawler pic? —Gene C. Weissinger
I like the gray tie fighter in the second picture - looks small, though.... and some of the snowspeeder proto's, too... when is the star destroyer coming out? :) and the sandcrawler? EC (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Link to Sandcrawler pic? —Fraser Lovatt
(...) I heard the Star Destroyer was coming out in July -- but don't get too excited, the set only has about 60 pieces in it. I'm looking forward to the mini-fig scale Death Star -- apparently it comes with four grey macaroni pieces. The other 70 (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Link to Sandcrawler pic? —Bryan Hodges
(...) ROTFL Humor! I love it! Forgive my ignorance but what is a "BURP" (aside from a release of intestinal gases?) A mini-fig scale Death Star... I can't even begin to imagine the logistics... A mini-fig scale Star Destroyer would make for an (...) (25 years ago, 12-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Link to Sandcrawler pic? —Lindsay Frederick Braun
(...) I'm not sure I can deal with the threat of Jawas that are the same size as every other minifig in the Lego universe. Anakin was bad enough. Now, I'd really like to see Tusken Raiders... best Lindsay (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Link to Sandcrawler pic? —Kevin Knoot
(...) every (...) Agreed. TLC *has* to make Jawas at a smaller size than the standard figs. I've made some Jawas using the Obi-Wan hood & cape, an all-black head piece with yellow paint for eyes, on a brown torso (I removed the paint w/brasso from (...)          Re: Link to Sandcrawler pic? —Bryan Hodges
(...) every (...) That would be sacrilege! The thought of a Yoda scares me as well... I'd almost rather not have a Yoda mini-fig than have one that's as tall as Darth Vader. (...) Very good idea... Bryan (25 years ago, 12-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

4x4 sloped convex corner brick? (was: Re: Link to Sandcrawler pic?) —Todd Lehman
(...) Hey wow -- on the Snowspeeder prototype, is that a 4x4 sloped convex corner brick or is it 3x3? --Todd (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: 4x4 sloped convex corner brick? (was: Re: Link to Sandcrawler pic?) —Eric Joslin
(...) Looks like the 3x3 low-slope available in blue in some of the second-series Ninja sets (names and numbers escape me). eric (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: 4x4 sloped convex corner brick? (was: Re: Link to Sandcrawler pic?) —Lindsay Frederick Braun
(...) Emperor's Stronghold. It was also available in black (1 pair) on the Twisted Time Train and in red in the 4126 bucket, among others (I've got about 16 of the red ones floating around--anyone want to trade some red for some blue? ;) ). I would (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Interesting Thing about that Sandcrawler... —Lindsay Frederick Braun
Sorry to follow up my own post, but I just looked at that .jpg again and... ...does that Sandcrawler in fact use 8 of the Brown Wing Useless Pieces from the Droid Fighter? Sorry, just a random observation. best LFB (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Interesting Thing about that Sandcrawler... —Jeff Stembel
(...) I don't see 'em. Where are you looking? Jeff (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Interesting Thing about that Sandcrawler... —Lindsay Frederick Braun
(...) On the ramp, at the back near where they hinge to the body. They sort of protrude up from the ramp deck. best LFB (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Mystery pieces (was "Re: Interesting Thing about that Sandcrawler...") —Franklin W. Cain
(...) Actually, to me, they look more like regular 33-degree slope 1x3 bricks, placed back-to-back, with a 1x2 "grille" tile on top. FWIW. Thanks, Franklin (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Link to Sandcrawler pic? —Ben Ridout
(...) Could it be a proto UCS Sandcrawler then? This is the best lego design I've ever seen. Lets keep our fingers crossed! -Ben Ridout hopes a UCS sandcrawler comes out in Summer 2001! =P (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Link to Sandcrawler pic? —Jeff Stembel
(...) Actually, I'd say it is a proto *System* Sandcrawler. It is too out of proportion to be UCS, IMO. Jeff "You can't be a hero hiding underneath your bed" (URL) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)
