| Another post concerning TLC´s Cockpit of their official Slave 1 model: They are using the same cockpit like in the monorail set etc (see: (URL) This cockpit is square and not round. | (...) Well, I don't think either one is a perfect solution. The Naboo Fighter canopy gets too narrow at the front (as oriented on the Naboo Fighter) to be the top of Slave 1's cockpit. and I think I'd rather have the two smoke hinged pieces as (...) (25 years ago, 12-Nov-99, to lugnet.starwars)

| (...) I agree, the Naboo/A-wing cockpit is close, but not too small and narrow at the top. I used 2 of them in my version of the Slave I ( (URL) ), but the perfect solution would be to use the type of canopy they did use, but replace the squared-off (...) | From looking at the 2000 catalog it appears that the B-Wing will have a smoke canopy like the Naboo fighter. That would make a nice alternate even though it might be a bit small. It is nice to get the smoke color in these pieces, though. Dave (25 years ago, 12-Nov-99, to lugnet.starwars)

I like seeing all these different variations on the same ship done by so many AFOLs... it really gives a good example of how individual working style affects the designs we all do.
