Sounds very groovy to me. I have a suggestion though, on the topic of minifigs:
If you are scanning in pictures of the minifigs, why not scan the actual
minifigs themselves? I do this and it ususally works very well. This way, you
don't have to worry about blurry photos. If you are using a digital camera it
may be another story, though.
