I agree with Eric J. that many of the threads in this group have strayed quite
a ways off topic.  For a while I thought that this was a Titanic News Group.
:).  In general I don't mind relavent off topic referances to other
Movies/Events/Shows/Building Systems etc.  But sometimes these threads tend to
take on a life of there own.

Now to try and generate some Star Wars Lego talk (kind of a revolutionary thing
lately but here we go).

First a question.  Seeing that I have only recently (last 3-4 months) come out
of my Lego dark ages I was wondering how often Lego comes out with new releases
of their "Themes".  Is it generally once/twice/three times a year etc.  I was
just wondering because I would like to know if we can expect more SW Lego sets
latter this year or is it more likely that we will have to wait until 2000.

I personally can't wait for Storm Trooper MiniFig's as well as a Boba Fett and
Han Solo.  I am hoping that since they are in the Classic SW Lego Logo (say
that 10 times fast) that it bodes well for these Characters.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) because of the nice weather I have not had alot
of time to build so I don't have any new models for you.  I also need to
increase my piece count to finish my current projects.  In the mean time I have
created a direction sheet for the "Gonk" droid I created recently and have
posted it on my web page.  I know that most of you are savy enough to build one
on your own but just to create a Lego Link I thought I would let you know.

On a bright note my nephew is having his 5th birthday family party and my wife
and I got him some SW Lego and he thinks I am some sort of Lego God so I am
sure I will get to build some tonight :).

Anyway I hope this can start some SW Lego discussion if not maybe someone else
can start up a line of conversation that can take off.

Eric

(...) Isn't Han Solo played by the same minifig that plays Johnny Thunder in the Adeventurer's sets? (25 years ago, 11-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Eric, Yes, that's the way it is with most news groups like this one, but I always throw a MLR (Mandatory Lego Reference?) in to make it look better. Anyway, the "Themes" usually come out once a year, the official date is December 26th, I think, but (...) (25 years ago, 11-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)
