Ben,

Something to consider too, 60% of the decision is based on creativity/originality,
only 40% on the engineering.  That makes me think they are going to lean towards
orginal designs, not models of existing Starwars ships.  I'm going to submit my big
Tie Interceptor, but I'm also planning on submitting a completely original model.

BTW, I really like your MF, I plan to build one eventually for my Master Grade Lego
Model website, but mine won't be minifig scale, it will be larger, mostly technic
type engineering.  (It will probably be black too since I don't have enough of
another color to make such a huge ship).

it's glory with a single photograph.  It's the guts of the thing that, in my
opinion, make it pretty cool.

For example, I'm just finishing modification which will put in two gunner
compartments sized for a minifig to fit into each one. This modification forced
me to tear out the entire inside core of the ship and build it back up again.
Now it  sports two gunner chambers with a ladder connecting the two with access
to the ladder from the main deck.  Both gunners are rotated with one micromotor
controlled from outside the hull.  If my macro lense is good enough, I may be
able to capture a photo with Luke looking down/up the tunnel to Han Solo.

In all, I suspect I could take 25-50 pictures to show the details.  Like one
picture with the light laser cannon stowed in the hull, another with it
extended and ready for action.

The entry form says to submit one photograph.  Guess there's nothing saying I
couldn't submit an entire portfolio.

Regardless, I have until December to do all my modifications.

And as I understand the 17 and over category, there will be only one winner,
and there is pretty tough competition out there.
