   (...) I'm thinking to use some of the corner-hinged plates (see (URL) and (URL) for examples) to connect the legs to the main body. If this is set up right, the front legs will be shorter from the hinge to the foot-point than the back legs, so the (...) (25 years ago, 4-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

   Probably because that's the closest they could get to the color they were in the movie. Looking at the trailers, many of the larger and/or battle droids appear to be a "rusty brown" color. The STABs are brown also and they were a similar color to (...) (25 years ago, 4-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)
