| Check out our latest MOC from our homepage, Manta Airspeeder; (URL) have been in the Speeder Chase diorama but I didn't have the pieces to build it. The design was based from an AOTC book which had concept art drawings of an airspeeder that looked (...) | (...) I like it!! Looks so dark and menacing. I'd love to see what the underside looks like....appears to have engines mounted under the dishes. | (...) Nice looking speeder..the canopy is almost meant to fit on the top of the quarter domes! And it does have an aquatic look about (tho to me it reminds me of a horseshoe crab), or even a retro look. And I want to see the bottom too:) Good job! (...) | Gil, Thanks for the compliments! (...) I'll try to get some pics of the underside later and yes those are engine exhausts underneath. (...) I did try some of the longer slopes but they didn't exactly match the angle of the tail piece so that got (...) (21 years ago, 3-Jun-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.space)

| Joe, (...) I was kinda surprised also when I fitted the canopy on the quarter domes that it gave the sleek look that I wanted. | (...) Positively love that design...great shape, great detailing, and great photography. Most pictures of all-black models come out hard to define details and painful to the eye. | (...) Thanks for the compliments! It's doubly hard to get pictures of dark colored models specially the black ones. | (...) Be my guest in doing refinements to this craft as a Sea Monkeys vehicle. I didn't want to do too much detailing at the bottom since it's for non-military use.
