I graduated with an EE degree recently, but that ol' 555 circuit (which I've
been putting to good use here and there since I was in 6th grade) is still
probably the most useful circuit I've ever found! If space constraints
forced it, I probably would make my own pcb (maybe with one of those
etch-it-yourself kits form radioshack or something), but I'd just as soon go
with the simpler, cheaper route. ;)
Nice bike lamp! I can only imagine how bright it must be - are you sure
it's legal? ;) Ever since being pulled over and given a fix-it ticket to
get myself a bike lamp, I've hated my bike lamp. Batteries die every couple
weeks or so and that kind of money adds up! On top of that, you never know
when the bulb will go out... Anyway, I can only imagine how cool it must be
to have your own light saber beaming off the front of your bike!
