  MOC: Y-Wing Starfighter
 
Hi guys. I finally got around to posting my Y-Wing. It uses a 1 foot:1 stud scale; smaller than my original but far more accurate. (...) Brucey-wan, Very nice. The use of the droid arms was an especially good idea. Another highlight is the detail work around where the astromech sits. The Y-wing always was the beat-up old workhorse of the fleet...this version definately gives it the feel of a revered, veteran craft. The detail of the directional baffles...definate UCS quality. Nice stuff Bruce. Cheers, -Gil (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars)

LEGO's model was too flat on the bottom, and while it's gently sloping sides are nice, your use of a slightly rounded underside definitely makes up for the slightly jagged sides. (...) Thanks for the comments, guys. Jason- I thought the use of battle droid arms was a pretty nifty feature myself, but unfortunately I forgot about it by the time I got around to posting it. Hence the lack of flaunting ;). Bruce- I was using blue (...) (21 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars)
