Re: MOC: SW Hoverbikes - Third wave

You should still do one! Got to see some more stuff from the one who started it all! Yes, we Canucks are a stange and sordid lot...much like the northern wooded owls we call our friends in our large mansions made of snow and zambonied ice shavings. (...) This is an excellent compliment from one who has long mastered the brilliant mini-MOC! Many thanks! -G (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jan-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

Re: MOC: SW Hoverbikes - Third wave

Thanks Andrew...from a design point of view, I think it's my favorite as well from these. I have always like that old beater design. Cheers, -G (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jan-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

(...) Keith, Beauty! Love the overall design - looks like we could build that with today's tech! Awesome! Peace and Long Life, Tony Alexander (22 years ago, 11-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: MOC: SW Hoverbikes - Third wave

Well it's a great way to end this sub-theme off for now. I also thought of doing a Y-wing variant, but you did a way better job than I could ever imagine. I think my favorite is the Eh-Wing just because of the background story. Us crazy canadians (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

(...) 'cept with trans. orange 2x2 rounds at the back. Oh well; I guess it's Adrian's day off. :-) Also, the Eh-bike story was funny, and right on. I lived in the dorms with a Canadian in college - they really love that letter. The worse thing is (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Ask and thou shalt receive: Ben's minipod

(...) Too bad there's no X shaped blade. heh (...) I can think of a few others vaguely, but none are as cool as Quadrinaros and Sebulba's pods. The ol' PC game Pod Racer had them all, AFAICR. -Greg "Fox" Cook (22 years ago, 11-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Ask and thou shalt receive: Ben's minipod

(...) Yeah, that was by far the toughest thing to get on this construction. I swear I stared at those two light saber blades for what seemed like an eternity (okay, maybe half an hour) until I came up with that solution. Originally it was going to (...)   Re: Ask and thou shalt receive: Ben's minipod

Adrian, Thanks for the kind words, and for the reference on your site. Excellent work on the pod! I had actually spent a bit of time thinking about how to do that particular pod, but I wasn't coming up with any ideas for the energy couplings. Keep (...)   Re: System Defense Boat "Sulu"

This is a really nice capital ship. It's got good roots in modern-day, seagoing warships, and reminds me of animesque extrapolations on what large spacecraft of tomorrow might look like (think Battletech). Awesome. The larger side missles that (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars)

So used to seeing red with light gray in a lot of SW sets, maybe the darkness of the dark gray is "bleeding" off onto the red to my eye. (...) Might get pictures of it, but one in (...)   Re: System Defense Boat "Sulu"

(...) I also liked the way the R2D2 heads snuck into the design. Great interior shots. I like it when such a big spaceship has interior detail. A bit less exterior detail than I like, but still very good. The detail thats there appears to be (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Ask and thou shalt receive: Ben's minipod

(...) They're not dark red, just regular red. The pod is almost entirely red and dark gray. Must be the lighting that's confusing you. (...) I don't think it works that way. (...) Nice work! That is a pretty big ship. I like how you formed the engines. The control center is keen as well. Do the escape hatches actually detach? They look neat nonetheless. Overall, great work, I look forward to your next big ship. -Jason (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.space)
