Re: The Vegetable Fighter Project: Onion-wing Fighter

That's actually very cool! Nice parody. ;) But besides the obvious big white onion, the color scheme, the slopes, and the cockpit nicely all nicely blend together, making for quite an effect. The big weapons also fit nicely. Can't wait for the (...) (22 years ago, 24-Dec-02, to lugnet.starwars)

What's the big deal about the Mini TIE?

Just wondering, I received my Mini TIE today, and for such a small scale it looks fairly good. But what's so great about it????? Why would anyone pay thirty bucks for this??? I'm not a large Star Wars fan (I mean, I don't drool over a poster of (...) (22 years ago, 24-Dec-02, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

SW Mini Building Sets at Target

In the local mall, a guy selling LEGO from a kiosk was giving away set #3219 Mini TIE Fighter with any $20 SW LEGO purchase. When I asked him if he had any of the other Mini SW sets he told me that they aren't supposed to sell them until December (...) (22 years ago, 24-Dec-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: The Vegetable Fighter Project: Onion-wing Fighter

Heheh, my girlfriend was half asleep when I showed her. She couldn't stop laughing. Kept saying, "Man.. baby got back!". Hope you don't mind if I x-post it to some other newsgroups. In my haste, i had left them out. Ace (...) (22 years ago, 24-Dec-02, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build)

(...) I've seen in too long. And not only does it fit the role of both onion and spaceship; the color scheme is great. (...) My vote goes to a Pumpkin Fighter. Bibbity bobbity boo! :-) -Chris (22 years ago, 23-Dec-02, to lugnet.starwars)

The Vegetable Fighter Project: Onion-wing Fighter

It started off as a silly joke, a parody of Jon Palmer's Alphabet Fighter Project, but the final result turned out a lot better than I thought it would. You can read about it here: (URL) links to the images: (URL) cockpit view: (URL) question you (...) (22 years ago, 23-Dec-02, to lugnet.starwars) !!

Re: My Mini arrived today (mini AT-AT)

My mini-ties showed up Friday (one at my mothers, one at my apartment). The poster which shows the snow speeder & at-st (and shows the at-at's in the background) has a blurb that says the mini at-AT's will be available June 2003. (22 years ago, 23-Dec-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: SW MiniBust-- Tusken Raider

Oooh, nifty. This one's even cooler. I like how there's no brick around the 1x1 eye cylinders - gives a real feel of depth and shadow. And the minifig arms work well in this one. He's done it again! -Chris (...) (22 years ago, 23-Dec-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: SW MiniBust-- Imperial Stormtrooper

This is really neat. Not only did you make an amazing creation (uncanny likeness at such a small scale; well done sir!), but you have potentially created a fad. I can see this one booming off like some others. Cool. -Chris Also, gotta agree with Gil (...) (22 years ago, 23-Dec-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: SW MiniBust-- Imperial Stormtrooper

(...) That's a great idea! Although there's already a precedent for (non-Lego) minibusts to stand on their own-- they're a popular item featuring comic book characters, for instance. Still, it wouldn't be too hard to make a "mecha" or "Bionicle" (...) (22 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.starwars)
