Re: Yet another announcement on FBTB!

(...) Aaarrghghghhh! I just spent over 700 guilders (that's about 260 dollars) on Shop at home. Now I'll have to wait untill the end of next month for my next pay-check to arrive or else I won't be able to eat. Don't get me wrong: S@H is doing great (...)   Just a thought...

This thought occured to me when I saw the FBTB announcement... Now, I know Tim knows his Star Wars and his LEGO, but unless someone has pictures soon, there is an outside chance that some of the information Tim received was mistaken, to wit: (...) (23 years ago, 23-Sep-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Keep in mind that it's not the Tantive.

(...) There is at least a little bit of grey area when it comes to the use of names not actually in the movies. We are evidently getting a Lobot figure in Jan. I just watched the trilogy last night and noticed that the name Lobot is not even in the (...) (23 years ago, 23-Sep-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Keep in mind that it's not the Tantive.

BTW - also bear in mind that only in the 'expanded universe' (everything Star Wars OUTSIDE the movies) is the ship even identified at all. At no time IN the movie is the ship refered to as anything other than "The Princess' Ship". And now a bit of (...) (23 years ago, 23-Sep-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Keep in mind that it's not the Tantive.

I expect a rather wild mix of white, tan, light and dark grey, with the new dark red only used for markings (stripes). Take the UCS X-wing for example. The designers at LEGO are said to be color-blind at times, but I hope they're not THAT (...) (23 years ago, 23-Sep-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Yet another announcement on FBTB!

(...) A new dark/brownish red would be "brick red". "Sand red" is the Life on Mars red. -Mike Petrucelli (23 years ago, 23-Sep-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Keep in mind that it's not the Tantive.

The Tantive IV was the Rebel Blockade Runner. To paraphrase the Star Wars Behind the Magic CD "[The Empire belived the Rebel Blockade Runner to be a massive battle platform but discovered it was just a run of the mill Corellian Corvette.]" As for (...)   Re: Keep in mind that it's not the Tantive.

(...) Please tell me this thing is gonna be more grey then white. I was really disapointed with the white on the UCS x-wing and the Shuttle. IMO just about every ship in the SW universe should be more grey then white. And the original batch of white (...) (23 years ago, 22-Sep-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Keep in mind that it's not the Tantive.

(...) Yeah, the Dinosaurs boxes say that they "transform" too. ;^) None of the Star Wars movies showed the Blockade Runner in any color other than white (with a stripe). Unless LEGO is beginning to do some "expanded universe" stuff, I wouldn't count (...) (23 years ago, 22-Sep-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Yet another announcement on FBTB!

sorry, no scans...but I'll tease you :) 10019 - (blockade runner) is over 71 cm long, 1748 pcs, and features a new brick colour..."sand red"...it's a dark/brownish red. 10018 - (Maul bust) is 48cm tall and 1860 pcs....both are very cool..and (...) (23 years ago, 22-Sep-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Keep in mind that it's not the Tantive.

It clearly states it is a Rebel Blockade Runner, but not necessarily the Tantive IV (or whatever the number was). I have seen pictures of all Blue and all Red RBR's. But the diplomatic crafts have to have red on them somewhere. So maybe we could see (...) (23 years ago, 22-Sep-01, to lugnet.starwars)

7139 Ewok Attack, 119 pieces, $12.99 • Scout Trooper, Stormtrooper and (2) Ewok minifigs 7201 Final Duel II 23 pieces, $6.99 • Luke Skywalker, Imperial Officer and Stormtrooper minifigs ALRIGHT!   Blockade Runner

I think my order made me third...or something close...there goes my survival mode budget plan. Here's a two-part question to bring to the table: TLC seems to be shifting their strategy towards revitalization through exclusive S@H availability...who (...)   Re: Yet another announcement on FBTB!

(...) Wooohooo!!! I can't wait to get my hands on one of those Blockade Runners. I can't imagine that at a $200 price point, it is anything short of amazing. Agghh, what to buy? I don't care what anyone says about Racers, Creator, or Bionicle, Lego (...) (23 years ago, 22-Sep-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Yet another announcement on FBTB!

I receive my 2001 holiday catalog today and these were in there. I orderd them already! late November looks like the date on delivery. I was only the second person to order them, I believe I really didn't need to part with the cash, so I'm glad I (...) (23 years ago, 22-Sep-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Yet another announcement on FBTB!

(...) Yeah, thats quite a ship. I did notice the stripe. I had no idea what the ship had looked like & was hoping that it may have been red (new dark red) so I could get a good qty of the new colored bricks. Thanks for taking the time to post the (...)   Re: Yet another announcement on FBTB!

(...) Actually, the photo doesn't show it very well, but there is a red stripe that runs the length of the ship at the midsection. (URL) about the image, I don't have a scanner at home) ~Grand Admiral Muffin Head (23 years ago, 21-Sep-01, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Yet another announcement on FBTB!

(...) Why are we hearing about this new stuff on FBTB and not through Lugnet?? From the site, Tim says "A special thank you to Brad Justus for providing FBTB.net with this announcement" This, after I've yet to see the Harry Potter Lego sets (...)
