Re: Bram Lambrecht 's spaceplane —Trevor Pruden
(...) Hey Jon, you are going to post this baby on the Galactic Shipyard, right? My question is this: It's obviously well over the 80 stud limit, so is it a CAPITAL or a SUB-CAPITAL? hhhhmmmmm....INTERSETING QUESTION! :^) ~Trev (23 years ago, 28-May-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Bram Lambrecht 's spaceplane —Mladen Pejic
I guess it is all up to Bram and Jon to discuss... My "Valour" Advanced Gunship is barely 89 studs long, and it is classified as a gunship too, yet I still asked Jon to put it in the capital ship section. Why? Well probably because Jon set the (...)          Re: Bram Lambrecht 's spaceplane —Trevor Pruden
(...) <snip> Good point. And you're right - it's between Jon and Bram. But it's funny because this is essentially a pleasure transport/A to B plane. So does that classify it as a capital? So what classifies a capital anyway? I have an image in my (...) (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Bram Lambrecht 's spaceplane —Wayne R. Hussey
(...) I think that to "qualify" for "Capital Ship" not only requires size and function, but also time. Your example of 747 vs aircraft carrier is a good one in this relationship. A 747 can stay aloft for about 12 hours - maybe a bit more - end of (...) (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Bram Lambrecht 's spaceplane —Jon Palmer
Honestly guys regarding my site, pretty soon here I think there are just gonna be 2 categories for big ships: Big and Supa Phat Big. : ) I'm not that concerned about what the ships role is for these categories, if its big then nuff said. I'd like (...) (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Bram Lambrecht 's spaceplane —Mladen Pejic
(...) Yeah. But don't like I said, it's such a minor and personal complaint, it really doesn't matter. In fact, I rather like that you used pneumatic pistons to fold down/up the landing gear.         RE: Bram Lambrecht 's spaceplane —Bram Lambrecht
(...) It's actually comes in at 90 studs long, with a wingspan of 110 studs, and a weight of somewhere between 10 and 15 kg from what I could gather using a bathroom scale.
