(...) Space Boy here. :) Jeff -- you were right the first time. The 10x10x12 convex dome corners did first appear in 1987 (in transparent dark-blue) in the LEGOLAND Space System / Futuron set 6990 Monorail Transport System. They then appeared again (...) (25 years ago, 3-Jan-00, to lugnet.space)
