I think the stumbing stone is features like the POV command difference. See earlier discussions. In POV, you can first
make a solid object and then drill a hole in it. Making a conversion tool capable of handling that takes... well, at
least someone much more skilful than me. :o/
But back to the first question: Yes, I think I have seen som Clasic Space sets made in DAT format.
