  Re: New Mocs: Classic Spac

(...) Wow, this looks nice, a great addition to the Classic Space line. Do you have any more interior pics? They mechsuit thing is neat too. Thanks, George (20 years ago, 26-Aug-05, to lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: The Sluf air-fighter prototype

(...) I greatly appreciate the time you take to give constructive criticism, it has always been helpful. As for the wings -- the air-fighter is based on the SF3D model Fledermaus. While I am not able to maintain fidelity to the exact shape of that (...) (20 years ago, 25-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: BrickSpace now available for download.

(...) My max bid is $1, and I'm currently the high bidder at $0.50. :-) (...) Sounds good. I'll keep that in mind. Jeff (20 years ago, 25-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: The Sluf air-fighter prototype

I don't particularly like rectangular wings... Gives me a kind of slow WW1 vibe that don't fit spacecrafts IMHO. I think I would like it much better if you cut away half of the wings (by the white flag), and perhaps beef up the tail. But it's really (...) (20 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: BrickSpace now available for download.

(...) Just so that ya don't put yourself out more money than ya have to - here's a list of Amazon available new copies. Under $2 for the cheapest one. :D (URL) Comp sounds like it oughta be able to handle it, and there is a file in the mod called (...) (20 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: BrickSpace now available for download.

(...) I'll have to try it on my home PC when I get a copy of the game (I'm bidding on a used copy on eBay right now). My PC is something like a 1.3 Ghz Athlon, with an older GeForce card (AGP 2x) and 256 MB of ram. I'll let you know how it plays on (...) (20 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: BrickSpace now available for download.

(...) D'oh. That's me copypasting and not double checking it. :p Fixed, thanks fer noticing. (...) Thanks! Specs on the PC that took that are - 2ghz Athlon (so 1.67ghz or something), Radeon 9600XT, and 512M Ram. It's also been run on a 2.5ghz (...) (20 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: BrickSpace now available for download.

(...) Looks like the link to the ZIP version actually points to the rar version. The videos are cool though. What are the specs of your PC? I'm wondering if I have a good enough computer at home to run the game at least as fast as you show in your (...) (20 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: From the Firefly TV Series: Serenity

(...) Way Cool. And watch out you've made the front page of (URL) -Orion (20 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: From the Firefly TV Series: Serenity

(...) Thanks for the complements! Yes, those are insectoid wings - in a very happy coincidence they are almost the exact shape of the solar pannels on Serenity. I doubt I'll ever find a more useful application for them! (20 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.space)

Re: From the Firefly TV Series: Serenity

Truely impressive, are those insectoid wings? I just started watching the series, and was wondering what Serenity would look like all Legofied, yours is even better than my imagination. Scott (...) (20 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: LF-ant,, VTOL

(...) Thanks for the comment Tony! I think weird is the second name of this MOC :o) I wanted to make the air intake above the pilot, but even coming with several designs, none of them was good looking enough. In the end I think the result is ok like (...) (20 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: The Sluf air-fighter prototype

(...) Wonderful shaping, coloration, and detailing. I love the cockpit's angled mounting- that's very well done. The landing gear mechanism is great as well, with all off the doors to allow it to be fully concealed. The feet look a bit clunky, (...) (20 years ago, 23-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Plethora of new mocs

(...) It's hard to comment on so many ships at once- I'd suggest in the future that you group just a couple of ships at a time in your posts. The Talon is really hard to see. Black is notoriously hard to photograph, and all-black is nigh impossible (...) (20 years ago, 23-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: LF-ant,, VTOL

(...) Wonderfully weird! Nice shaping, greebling, and functionality. I especially like how you didn't try to clone the original exactly, but came up with a neat design that is similar. Too many artwork-inspired ships suffer from trying to force (...) (20 years ago, 23-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: From the Firefly TV Series: Serenity

(...) Rockin! Cool moc. I love your use of both dark grays in the engines and throughout the moc. It really makes the model pop. Your insane use of snot is also just ridiculously cool. My favorite part (URL) (20 years ago, 22-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: From the Firefly TV Series: Serenity

(...) Chris, That is amazing, and truly captures the look & feel of the boat! I have to admit that I almost wet myself when I saw the photos. Well, okay, I did wet myself. Jus' a little. You might consider building the interior ... as free-standing (...) (20 years ago, 22-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: From the Firefly TV Series: Serenity

That's very cool, Chris. I love the engine details and the shape and the lighting. Gonna have to spend some more time looking... (20 years ago, 22-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

New MOC: The Sluf air-fighter prototype

Hello all, After a ~6 month hiatus -- or rather a long creative block-- I slapped this little thing together over the last few weeks. This model was rife with issues and I nearly gave up last weekend but my desire to see it completed won out. It may (...) (20 years ago, 22-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, FTX) !

Re: From the Firefly TV Series: Serenity

(...) Great stuff. The ship was one of my favorite parts of the series. I love the techniques you've used to build the engines. I also like your use/mix of color to give it some of the gritty feeling of the show version. Spotlighted! Best regards, (...) (20 years ago, 21-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)
