  Re: Space! at BrickFest 2005

(...) Hey Lenny, That's a great idea. Interspersing some "parking lot" spaces between the modules also makes it possible for a lot of people who can't bring full modules to participate in the layout by adding their small ships.   Re: Space! at BrickFest 2005

(...) Thanks for the response. Just to be devil's advocate, what if another BlackTron Intelligence Agency super module comes along? It was about 4x4 baseplates I think... (I only wish I had that many bricks...) I'm sure somebody out there right now (...) (20 years ago, 2-Jun-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

  Re: Space! at BrickFest 2005

(...) Along with the thinness, we are also going to arrange modules so that tall ones are behind the short ones. The display is going to be ~3 modules wide, so it would work like Tall-Medium-Short. This should give equal viewing access to all of the (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jun-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

  Re: Space! at BrickFest 2005

(...) With the moonbase longer and thinner, spread out in the lobby, it should look really great. A suggestion though, to help avoid the "crowding" of last year, why not add more blank plates, and more simple corridors. Generally (but not always) (...)   Re: The Praetor Nova

(...) Thanks for the comments Tony! The canopy doesn't open unfortunately.. It once had hinges, but it just didn't look right. It always was a plate to high.. I will add guns (maybe lots of them) as soon as I can invent an interesting design in the (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jun-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: The Praetor Nova

(...) Thanks a lot Kyle! The reason for the upside down studs in the nose is that I simply did not have enough inverted slopes to do the underside of the nose, and not enough dark gray slopes to do the to of the nose either. So, I simply inverted a (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jun-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: The Praetor Nova

Thanks! You're right, it actually resembles a colonial viper, though that's totally without my intention. This ship doesn't look as fast as the viper IMHO, but it looks a bit beefier - and possibly harder to shot down.. =) (20 years ago, 1-Jun-05, to lugnet.space)

  Space! at BrickFest 2005

Space! at BrickFest 2005 Dan Rubin and Lenny Hoffman are the Space theme coordinators. Jon Palmer is helping with planning for the Moonbase, and Jeff Stembel is handling all things Mecha. First off, we have the 3rd floor lobby for the (URL), as well (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, lugnet.announce, lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX) !!

  Re: The Praetor Nova

(...) Wonderful SNOTwork on the nose. Nice wingtips and color scheme. And the greebling- excellent, especially on the engines! It looks like the canopy doesn't open... or did you work in an ingenious way to hide the hinges? I'm always on the lookout (...) (20 years ago, 31-May-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: The Praetor Nova

Very groovy! It's got a more muscled, bigger brother of the Colonial Viper feel. Great SNOT work on the nose and the color scheme is well-balanced. Dave S. "Mark" <markwms@covad.net> wrote in message news:IHBEou.1rDz@lugnet.com... (...) (URL) (...) (...) (20 years ago, 31-May-05, to lugnet.space)

I like it, the upside down studs, the stand, the engine pods, etc. If it's unarmed, then what are the two trans blue bits underneath it's wings? --Kyle (URL) (...) (20 years ago, 31-May-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: The Praetor Nova

Very nice fighter (without weapons, that's certainly a first!), maybe the overall shape is not so inovative, but the way you made it smooth is really well done. JP. (20 years ago, 31-May-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) wow, that is one hawt ship. I love it! It's swoopy, has great use of SNOT, and a great color scheme. Excellent job. -mark (20 years ago, 30-May-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) (URL) They're all really cool, Paul, but this one really caught my eye. The studlessness at this small scale is aces. What set did those tan decorated 1x1 tiles come from? Dave S. (20 years ago, 27-May-05, to lugnet.space)

Re: New pictures of an old MOC

(...) Cool stuff! :-) I think it's great how you documented each section of the interior in detail and with such clarity. It's such a great set of pictures for other builders such as me to look at for inspiration. Thanks for taking the time to (...) (20 years ago, 27-May-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

New pictures of an old MOC

Sure, it's almost a year old, but there is some interest to be had with this. I'm in the process of disassembling the Tribunal, so I took a bunch of interior pictures of the various rooms and threw them into a quick bricklink folder before shredding (...)
