Melpomene is both the 100th model gallery on my site and my first SHIP over
100 studs. She is a passenger transport crewed by 9 women and adapted to their
particular needs. She cruises the spacelanes, looking for pirates to bring to
justice. (Youve already seen her if youve looked at the
SPACE sidebar in the last couple of days- thanks,
Lenny!)
She features a fully-detailed interior, with shower and powder rooms, a kitchen,
and crew berths for 9. Melpomene also has 5 small support vehicles. Oh,
yeah- and big honkin engines!
The crew of
Melpomene utilize a unique weapon- their voices. They sing with such beauty
that they can mesmerize their opponents into letting down their guard. Much of
the equipment is designed around delivering sound to the enemy and enhancing its
effectiveness. If you enjoy reading that sort of ranting about a Lego ship,
theres more on the Crew
and Backstory page.
