The greebling between the top engines is decent, but seems somewhat misplaced. It seems like the hole that you put those details in is recessed way too much... no, that’s not it- the top engines are the problem. The ship really looks like a sleek fighter with two extra engines grafted onto the top.

The color scheme is nice- all of the variants look good. Mostly white with a single highlight color tends to work pretty well, and the grey/red version uses both accent colors well together.

On photography: a high front angle shot would be very helpful for getting a better sense of the overall shape. The grey pic is close to the right angle, but is too low and has the canopy open. The first pic in the gallery is a bit too high.

If you built multiple copies, that would make for a great shot- or did you recolor the same model for the different liveries?

Tony,

Thanks for the feedback.

The different liveried ships are redresses of the original model. I do plan on building several more fighters of the same design (c’mon, Postal Service!) -- I want to eventually do a Marine color scheme (light & dark gray, highlights of black & green), a Marine ground-assault variant (load it up with missiles, rockets, and maybe shorten the nose), and a Border Interdiction scheme (yellow with black highlights).

Here’s a couple of new shots of the bird:

I’m going to experiment later with moving the engines down a brick and see how it looks, but I think currently the high-mounted engines imply speed and strength. Also: if you notice, the two side-mounted engines have undergone minor up-beefing.
