Introducing the UIWs Mainstay Mark I-A Fighter Craft.

This MOC originally began life as an attempt to replicate a Colonial Viper.
Things sort of moved along from there. The nose & canopy hinge design were
inspired by Jon Newsomes Crusader fighter.

The lines near the front are nice and smooth- those curved pieces around the
nose make for a great mostly-studless ship, though it kind of clashes with the
angular shaping of the rear. The greebling between the top engines is decent,
but seems somewhat misplaced. It seems like the hole that you put those details
in is recessed way too much... no, thats not it- the top engines are the
problem. The ship really looks like a sleek fighter with two extra engines
grafted onto the top. The color scheme is nice- all of the variants look
good. Mostly white with a single highlight color tends to work pretty well, and
the grey/red version uses both accent colors well together. On photography: a
high front angle shot would be very helpful for getting a better sense of the
overall shape. The grey pic is close to the right angle, but is too low and has
the canopy open. The first pic in the gallery is a bit too high. If you
built multiple copies, that would make for a great shot- or did you recolor the
same model for the different liveries?
