The top turret was kind of a doodle that just turned out really well. (I
shoulda showed you guys the turret that came in second place and got
scrapped--yuck!)

I dunno about that. Looking at your Brickshelf folder, you’ve obviously got the
talent for detailing and photography. With enough parts, and a good initial
starting structure, I bet you could do a very entertaining large ship. But
mechs are cool too, and speaking of which, I hope you’re building something,
it’s been a while...
