I almost feel this could be a little more updated. Perhaps with a couple
SNOT applications (perhaps the engine housing even wings), some subtle
greebs (even a communications array in the same spot as the original) and a
little more detailing on the bottom. Perhaps a splash in the cockpit too.

These are all good suggestions- especially the comm array (which really should
be there). I was of planning on doing some variants on this ship anyway, and
the interior was one of the areas that clearly needed work. I hadnt thought
too much about the bottom, but that wouldnt hurt.

I know the original was a sparse matter to start with, but through a use of
colour and (then) new part usage, it became a classic. Thinking with a
little more of a shove into the modern building arena, this could do the
same.

Im not too crazy about SNOT-ting it up, as I felt the simple studs-up
construction was too integral to the concept. But for some of the variations, I
was eyeing the 1x6 curvy slopes and 2x6 curved wedge slopes. Hm... youre
rebuilding the original... Id love to see your retake on this!
And thanks so much for the feedback.
